All tourists onboard fell in the Lidder river.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Dar who is being described as a braveheart managed to save all the tourists but went missing in the aftermath.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Search and rescue mission was launched by the local police and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF). However, only his body could be recovered on Saturday morning\u00a0near\u00a0the Bhawani bridge from Lidder.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Dar&#8217;s body was handed over to his relatives after completion of medical and legal formalities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Meanwhile, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah took to Twitter to salute the braveheart who died while saving lives.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">&#8220;My salute to this braveheart Rauf Ahmad Dar. He saved the tourists from his capsized raft but lost his own life in the process.
