He said the killing of Musa has put an end to the radical militant ideology espoused by him.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Musa was the chief of the Al Qaeda affiliate Ansar Gazwat-ul-Hind. He was killed\u00a0at Dadsar Tral in South Kashmir\u00a0on May 23, the day the result of general election was released, returning the BJP to power in the country.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Talking to media persons on the sidelines of his visit to Poonch in Jammu, DGP\u00a0 Singh said that Zakir Musa had introduced a new extreme idea of militancy in Kashmir &#8220;but his idea came to an end with his killing&#8221;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">DGP\u00a0 put the number of active militants in Kashmir at around 275 militants\u00a0 of which 100-120 were foreigners.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">He said the security forces were working in complete coordination to put an end to militancy in the state.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>J&amp;K Director General of Police Dilbagh Singh has termed the killing of militant commander Zakir Musa as a big success for security forces.
