63.3% voter turnout has been recorded in the sixth phase of Lok Sabha elections on Sunday. 59 Lok Sabha constituencies spread over seven states went to polls in this phase.<\/p>\n

Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Bihar and Haryana all voted in the sixth phase of the elections.<\/p>\n

Polling was held in 14 seats in Uttar Pradesh, 10 in Haryana, 8 seats each in West Bengal, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh, 7 in Delhi and 4 in Jharkhand.<\/p>\n

Several political leaders including Congress president Rahul Gandhi, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Congress\u2019 Sheila Dikshit and Union Minister Sushma Swaraj voted today in the sixth round of the\u00a0Lok Sabha\u00a0elections.<\/p>\n

Sheila Dikshit, Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari, Cricketer turned politician and BJP candidate from East Delhi Gautam Gambhir were among the early voters, as was Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) East Delhi candidate Atishi.<\/p>\n

Prime Minister\u00a0Narendra Modi\u00a0who has already voted in Gujarat urged to voters to exercise their electoral right.<\/p>\n

\u201cYet another phase of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections is here! Urging all those whose constituencies are polling in today\u2019s sixth phase to go out and vote. I hope youngsters are voting in record numbers. After all, their participation makes the polls even more special,\u201d Modi tweeted.<\/p>\n

Congress\u00a0General Secretary\u00a0Priyanka Gandhi\u00a0also voted in the national capital. After casting her vote, Priyanka said, \u201cit is really important election because we are fighting to save democracy, for our country and keeping that in mind I cast my vote.\u201d<\/p>\n

The seven-phase\u00a0Lok Sabha\u00a0elections which began on April 11\u00a0will conclude on May 19. The vote count will take place on May 23.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
