Five Indians have been killed in the horrific attack on two mosques in New Zealand\u2019s Christchurch, the Indian high commission tweeted.<\/span><\/p>\n

The New Zealand police on Sunday confirmed that the death count in the horrific shootings has risen to 50.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Two days after the deadly attack, the Indian high commission confirmed that five Indians were killed in the attack.<\/span><\/p>\n

“With a very heavy heart we share the news of loss of precious lives of our 5 nationals in ghastly terror attack in #Christchurch,” the tweet read mentioning the names of those who died.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cImmigration NZ has set up a dedicated page to expedite visa for family members of Christchurch victims,\u201d high commission tweeted.<\/span><\/p>\n

On Saturday, the High Commission tweeted, \u201cWe have been pursuing with NZ auth whereabouts of 9 Indians, incl 2 PIOs. 2 Indians receiving treatment. Following up with NZ Govt for others. Also, r in regular touch with their families.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Kerala chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Saturday said that Ancy Ali from Kerala was among the victims of the Christchurch terror attack.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cDeeply shocked to learn that a Keralite is among the victims of Christchurch (New Zealand) terror attack. We are following up with the embassy through Norka Roots. Our thoughts are with the affected family.\u201d Pinarayi Vijayan had said.<\/span><\/p>\n
