The Congress Working Committee (CWC) held a meeting on Tuesday for the Lok Sabha elections in Ahmedabad, to give a final shape to the party’s election strategy.<\/span><\/p>\n

The meeting began in the home state of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, two days after the Election Commission announced the Lok Sabha poll dates.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rahul Gandhi said that the party had “resolved to defeat the RSS\/ BJP ideology of fascism, hatred”, saying the “this battle will be won”<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cOn the anniversary of Gandhi Ji\u2019s historic Dandi March, the Congress Working Committee in Ahmedabad, resolved to defeat the RSS\/ BJP ideology of fascism, hatred, anger & divisiveness. No sacrifice is too great in this endeavour; no effort too little; this battle will be won,\u201d Rahul tweeted.<\/span><\/p>\n

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also spoke at the CWC highlighting the failures of the BJP government.<\/span><\/p>\n

Former Prime minister Manmohan Singh cited the achievements of the UPA Government\u00a0that was in power at the Centre from 2004 to 2014.<\/span><\/p>\n

UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying the PM was playing the victimhood card, the actual victims of his policies are the people of India.<\/span><\/p>\n

Today also marks the anniversary of the famous ‘Dandi March’ started by Mahatma Gandhi from Sabarmati Ashram on March 12, 1930, with a group of Satyagrahis.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting was held at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s national memorial, with top party leaders, including Congress chief Rahul Gandhi, UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and all senior party.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the sources, the Congress is looking to send out a strong political message to the entire nation from the land of Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Patel.<\/span><\/p>\n

The meeting was postponed after the Pulwama terror attack on February 14 and the air strikes by India across the Line of Control on a terror camp in Balakot.<\/span><\/p>\n
