Further details shall follow.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">According to the officials, Security forces launched a cordon and search operation\u00a0in Shopian after getting specific information about presence of terrorists there.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">When the cordon around the hiding terrorists was tightened, they fired at the security forces triggering an encounter, police said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Jammu and Kashmir police earlier tweeted, \u201cEncounter is in progress at #Shopian.
