He left New Delhi this morning,&#8221; Foreign Office spokesman Mohammad Faisal said on Twitter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Mohammad Faisal said envoy Sohail Mahmood left New Delhi on Monday morning.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Mahmood was on Friday summoned in New Delhi by Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale who lodged strong protest over the killing of at least 40 CRPF soldiers in Pulwama.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Indian High Commissioner to Pakistan Ajay Bisaria has already been called last week to New Delhi for consultations in the wake of Pulwama terror attack.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Pakistan-based terror group JeM has claimed responsibility for the attack.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">India has demanded that Pakistan should take immediate and verifiable action against groups or individuals associated with terrorism operating from its territories.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">India had earlier withdrawn the Most Favoured Nation status allotted to Pakistan and hiked the customs duty by 200 per cent on goods originating from Pakistan.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pakistan on Monday recalled its ambassador in New Delhi for consultations amid escalating tensions with India, Pakistan&#8217;s foreign office spokesman said on Monday. &#8220;We have called back our High Commissioner in India for consultations.
