{"id":308640,"date":"2019-01-30T03:22:59","date_gmt":"2019-01-30T03:22:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tehelka.com\/?p=308640"},"modified":"2019-01-30T03:22:59","modified_gmt":"2019-01-30T03:22:59","slug":"union-minister-nitin-gadkari-to-inaugurate-and-lay-foundation-stones-of-road-and-river-projects-in-bihar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tehelka.com\/union-minister-nitin-gadkari-to-inaugurate-and-lay-foundation-stones-of-road-and-river-projects-in-bihar\/","title":{"rendered":"Union Minister Nitin Gadkari to Inaugurate and Lay Foundation Stones of Road and River Projects in Bihar"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-308514 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/tehelka.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/gadkari-....-300x210.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"586\" height=\"410\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tehelka.com\/media\/2019\/01\/gadkari-....-300x210.jpg 300w, https:\/\/tehelka.com\/media\/2019\/01\/gadkari-....-100x70.jpg 100w, https:\/\/tehelka.com\/media\/2019\/01\/gadkari-.....jpg 506w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 586px) 100vw, 586px\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Wednesday will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones of several road projects and river development works in Bihar.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">He will be accompanied by Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Radhamohan Singh and others.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Gadkari will inaugurate \/ lay foundation stone for two national highways\u00a0projects worth Rs 505 crore in Raxaul.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">These include foundation stone for work of widening of 69 km section of NH-28A from Piprakothi to Motihari and Raxaul with a cost of Rs 333.60 crore and inauguration of 2-lane 40 km section of NH-28B from Chhapra to Misrauli with a cost of Rs 171.40 crore.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The Minister will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stones of four national highway projects worth Rs 353.71 crore at Bagaha, Pashchim Champaran.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">These include widening to 2-lane and strengthening of 24 km road from Misrauli to Parsauni with a cost of Rs 93.84 crore, widening and strengthening of 37 km road from Manuvapul to Yagnapatti-Navalpur-Raywal Chowk with a cost of Rs 128.90 crore under central road fund (CRF) and construction of rail over bridge (ROB) at 91 km and 94 km with the cost of Rs 131.97 crore respectively.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Gadkari will also initiate the development of 300 km long river route from Hajipur to Triveni Ghat at a cost of Rs 12.9 crore under dredging work in river Gandak for facilitating water transport.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">This will help in generating cargo transport capacity of 11.6 MT in the next five years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">There will be RO-RO terminals at Vaishali, Kalyanpur, Betia and Bagaha.
