My meeting last evening with HM I had a discussion on my approach. But Centre was keen to obtain prior permission to start construction.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">This land is part of the 67 acres acquired by the central government over 25 years ago after the demolition of the Babri Masjid.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The government has filed the petition on a day the Supreme Court was to hear the Ayodhya case.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The hearing was cancelled due to the non-availability of Justice SA Bobde.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said that the temple-mosque case must be heard in court without delay.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The Ayodhya case has been pending for so many years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi reconstituted the five-judge Constitution bench to hear the Ayodhya case after Justice UU Lalit recused himself after objections were raised by Muslim parties as Justice Lalit had represented former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Kalyan Singh as a lawyer in a Babri Masjid case.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Last week, Justice Abdul Nazeer and Justice Ashok Bhushan were added to the bench.
