The day is dedicated to the brave soldiers of the Indian Army who fought to safeguard the country&#8217;s honour.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">On Army Day, President Ram Nath Kovind said, \u201cCitizens sleep securely knowing you are ever awake and ever vigilant.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">\u201cOn Army Day, greetings to the valiant men and women of the Indian Army, to veterans and their families. You are our nation\u2019s pride, the sentinels of our liberty. Citizens sleep securely knowing you are ever awake and ever vigilant,\u201d President Kovind tweeted.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Prime Minister Narendra Modi also saluted the brave soldiers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Indian Army chief General Bipin Rawat congratulated all ranks, families, veterans, \u2018veer naris\u2019 and Armed Forces fraternity on the occasion of the 71st Army Day.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">\u201cCongratulations to Indian Army: On the occasion of the Army Day, Chief of the Air Staff and all Air-Warriors of IAF wish Indian Army personnel &amp; their families, a very happy,\u201d Indian Air Force tweeted.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Rajyavardhan Rathore said, \u201cOn #ArmyDay, a tribute to the brave soldiers of the Indian Army.
