He has been authorised to carry out routine works.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Alok Verma and his deputy Rakesh Asthana were both sent on leave in October amid a bitter feud between the two.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Verma is due to retire on January 31.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CBI Director Alok Verma on Wednesday returned to his office in Delhi following Supreme Court orders which scrapped Centre\u2019s order of divesting him from his powers and sending him on forced leave.
