We need to confront Michel with other people to decipher who \u201cthe big man\u201d or \u201cR\u201d is.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Delhi&#8217;s Patiala House Court has allowed Christian Michel\u2019s seven-day ED remand.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Michel was arrested in the UAE and extradited to India on December 4. He was arrested for money laundering charges in the AgustaWestland VVIP chopper scam.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Michel is among the three alleged middlemen being probed in the case by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">CBI has alleged there was an estimated loss of Euro 398.21 million to the exchequer in the deal that was signed in February 2010 for the supply of VVIP choppers worth Euro 556.262 million.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The ED, in its charge sheet filed against Michel in June 2016, had alleged that he received EUR 30 million from AgustaWestland.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Saturday informed Delhi&#8217;s Patiala House court that Christian Michel, alleged middleman charge-sheeted and arrested in the AgustaWestland VVIP chopper case, has named\u00a0Mrs\u00a0Gandhi while in custody.
