Trilokpuri, area in Delhi, inhabited mostly by Sikhs, was the worst hit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Last week, Delhi court pronounced death sentence to one convict and awarded life term to another for killing two men during the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. The court held Yashpal Singh and Naresh Sherawat guilty of killing Hardev Singh and Avtar Singh in south Delhi\u2019s Mahipalpur during the riots.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">It was the first sentencing in the case after the Special Investigation Team (SIT) was formed in 2015 by the home ministry.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Delhi High Court on Wednesday upheld conviction of 88 People by the trail court in connection with the 1984 anti-Sikh riot case.
