He is being treated for various ailments at the\u00a0Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences\u00a0(RIMS) in Ranchi.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The court directed the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to ensure Lalu&#8217;s presence through video conference either from jail or hospital.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The CBI and ED are probing the case and had named Lalu Prasad, his wife and former\u00a0Chief\u00a0Minister\u00a0Rabri Devi, their son\u00a0Tejashwi Yadav\u00a0and others as accused in the chargesheet.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The case is related to alleged irregularities in granting the operational contract of two IRCTC hotels to a private firm, for which a three-acre commercial plot at a prime location in\u00a0Patna\u00a0district was given as a bribe.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Delhi court on Monday directed RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav to appear before it on December 20 through video conference in connection with the IRCTC scam case.\u00a0 The directions were passed by special judge Arun Bharadwaj.
