\"\"<\/a>The Supreme Court on Friday said the vigilance probe against ousted CBI director Alok Verma has given \u201cmixed\u201d findings and indicated that some charges need to be investigated further.<\/span><\/p>\n

It said, \u201csome findings are “complimentary” and some “very uncomplimentary”, needing further investigation by the panel.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe vigilance report is a “mix” and exhaustive, said Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi.<\/span><\/p>\n

CJI Gogoi said that the report of the CVC findings can be given to Alok Verma in a sealed cover and he gives reply in sealed cover, adding that this was being done for the need to preserve the sanctity of the CBI and public confidence in the CBI.<\/span><\/p>\n

While the court refused to share the report with Verma’s deputy special director Rakesh Asthana.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cA decision would be taken after receiving Alok Verma’s response to the report of the vigilance inquiry,\u201d court said.<\/span><\/p>\n

It had also asked the Central Vigilance Commission to wrap up its investigation within two weeks into\u00a0allegations against Alok Verma\u00a0from his deputy Rakesh Asthana.<\/span><\/p>\n

The top court will next hear the case on November 20.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Supreme Court on November 12 had received a preliminary enquiry report from the CVC on the allegations made against Alok Verma by special director, Rakesh Asthana.<\/span><\/p>\n
