Subhash Reddy, Justice Hemant Gupta, Justice Mukesh Kumar Rasikbhai Shah and Justice Ajay Rastogi were on Friday sworn in as judges of Supreme Court.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">They were administered the oath by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">With their appointment the strength of the top court judges has gone up to 28.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Justice Reddy, Justice Gupta, Justice Shah and Justice Rastogi were the Chief Justices of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Patna and Tripura High Courts, respectively before their elevation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The Supreme Court collegium had recommended their elevation on October 29.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The president on Thursday had given his assent to the recommendation of the Supreme Court collegium for elevating the chief justices of different high courts, as Supreme court judges.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Justice R.
