We are demanding a separate state for the North Karnataka region comprising of six districts as there has been no development in this part of the state.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The group organized the protest and hoisted the new Karnataka flag on the Kannada Rajyotsava Day or the Karnataka foundation day which is celebrated all across the state on November 1 marking the formation of the state in 1956.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Karnataka Police on November 1 morning detained workers of Kalyan Karnataka Horata Samiti for holding a protest and hoisting a new Kannada flag demanding a separate statehood for north Karnataka region.
