We have also noted the influence wielded by him. In view of the serious nature of allegations made against him, it\u2019s not appropriate for him to be lodged in any jail in Bihar,\u201d the top court said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">While commenting on the status report submitted by the CBI on the investigation in the case, the SC said, the &#8220;details are terrible and scary&#8230;what is the Bihar government doing about it?&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The court has also issued a notice to Thakur, seeking his response on why he should not be shifted out of Bihar, for a free and fair probe into the case.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">In Muzaffarpur shelter home case more than 30 girls were allegedly raped at the shelter home run by Thakur, the chief of a state-funded NGO.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Supreme Court on October 25 said that the key accused Brajesh Thakur in Muzaffarpur shelter home sexual abuse case should be shifted to a jail outside the state as he &#8220;is a very influential person.&#8221; \u201cCBI has made serious allegations against Thakur.
