The accusations date back to the time when Akbar was in the media and held senior editorial positions at newspapers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">On Monday, Akbar filed a criminal defamation case in Delhi\u2019s Patiala House Court against journalist Priya Ramani.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">MJ Akbar had earlier said that allegations of\u00a0sexual\u00a0misconduct\u00a0made against him are fabricated and false and have caused irreparable damage to his reputation and goodwill.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Meanwhile,\u00a0President Ram Nath Kovind has accepted the resignation of M.J.
