All passengers and crew members who were on board are safe.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The flight IX-611 was diverted to\u00a0Mumbai\u00a0which took off at around 1.20 a.m.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The flight had landed safely in Mumbai. An alternative flight was arranged to take the passengers to\u00a0Dubai.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The top portion of the airport boundary wall collapsed following the accident, airport official said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Air India has taken the pilot and co-pilot off the roster and an internal investigation has begun.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Director General of Civil Aviation will probe the incident, a senior\u00a0airport official said.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An Air India flight to Dubai hit the boundary wall of the airport while taking off with 136 passengers in Tamil Nadu&#8217;s Trichy late last night.
