\"\"<\/a>The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted a formation of a low-pressure system that could turn into a storm or cyclone in the South East parts of Arabian Sea. Met department reportedly predicted the storm could bring rains in some southern states from October 6 onwards.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to reports in wake of the possible cyclone, State Emergency Operations Centre in Kerala has instructed fishermen to refrain from venturing into seas after October 6.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Chief Minister\u2019s Office (CMO), Kerala, uploaded a post on Facebook to warn citizens about the upcoming changes in the weather. The post reads, \u201cEfforts were also taken to communicate this information to those who have already left for fishing with a plan for long duration sailing. Efforts will be taken to bring them back before 5 October.”<\/span><\/p>\n

CMO post further reads, \u201cThe Fisheries Department has also been directed to ready water ambulances and emergency rescue boats for emergencies.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

According to reports the system is expected to cause extremely heavy showers over parts of Kerala between October 5 and 8 with a yellow alert being issued for Idukki and Pathanamthitta districts.<\/span><\/p>\n

The district administration of Thrissur, Palakkad and Kozhikode reportedly issued the alert till October 4 and 5.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to reports heavy to very heavy rainfall was expected to hit Idukki, Kozhikode and Wayanad on October 5.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
