Thousands of farmers on Wednesday ended their 10-day Kisan Kranti Padyatra after arriving at Kisan Ghat in Delhi.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The police personnel opened the barricades at the Delhi-Uttar Pradesh border in the early hours of Wednesday, allowing the farmers to enter the capital. Led by Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) chief Naresh Tikait, over 400 tractors carrying thousands of farmers reached Kisan Ghat.<\/span><\/p>\n

Shouting anti-BJP slogans, the farmers, with blisters on feet, reached Kisan Ghat in the wee hours of Wednesday.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The farmers said they have reached an agreement with the Central government, which, according to them, has accepted “most of the demands\u201d.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the Bharatiya Kisan Union spokesperson, the farmers remained unfazed despite all the hardships and have been marching for 12 days now. As most of the demands have been accepted. Hence the march is going to end now.<\/span><\/p>\n

However, all schools and colleges in Ghaziabad will remain closed today.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Delhi Traffic Police said that NH-24 is open for traffic movement now.<\/span><\/p>\n

On Tuesday, Farmers tried to enter the national capital using their tractors to break the barricades at UP border that were put up by Delhi police.<\/span><\/p>\n

Police personnel at the UP-Delhi border near Ghazipur had used water cannons and teargas shells to stop the farmers from breaking the barricades.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
