It also said that patriarchy in religion cannot be allowed to trump the right to pray.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The bench also comprised Justices R F Nariman, A M Khanwilkar, D Y Chandrachud\u00a0and\u00a0Indu Malhotra. Nariman, Khanwilkar\u00a0and\u00a0Chandrachud coincided with Misra, while Malhotra presented her dissenting opinion.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">\u201cNotions of rationality cannot be invoked in matters of religion,&#8221; Justice Indu Malhotra said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">&#8220;What constitutes indispensable religious practice is for the religious community to decide, not for the court. India is a diverse country. Constitutional morality would allow all to practice their beliefs.
