\"\"<\/a>Prime Minister,\u00a0Narendra Modi launched the\u00a0‘Swachhata Hi Seva Movement’, on Saturday which aims at fulfilling\u00a0Mahatma Gandhi’s dream of a Clean India.<\/span><\/p>\n

Modi appealed to the citizens to dedicate themselves towards achieving the aim of a clean country starting today.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cFrom today till Gandhi Jayanti, let us re-dedicate ourselves towards fulfilling Mahatma Gandhi\u2019s dream of Clean India,\u201d he said while interacting with\u00a0people from different walks of life through video conferencing. \u2018Swachh Bharat Mission\u2019 that began four years ago has reached an important stage today, where we can proudly say that people from all sections have joined us in the mission,\u201d the Prime Minister said.<\/span><\/p>\n

Narendra Modi, on Friday had written personalised letters to around 2000 citizens from different walks of life inviting them to join the\u00a0‘Swachhata Hi Seva Movement’ and strengthen the Swachh Bharat Mission.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the letter, Those invited by the prime minister include retired government servants, former judges, gallantry award winners, medal winners in the Common Wealth and Asian Games, film personalities, spiritual leaders, journalists of leading media outlets, sportspersons, writers, among others to become part of the mass movement.<\/span><\/p>\n

To endorse the movement in all the states and union territories of the country, the Prime Minister also wrote letters to Chief Ministers, Deputy Chief Ministers of all states, Governors and Lieutenant Governors.<\/span><\/p>\n

Modi in series of his tweets urged everyone to be part of \u201cSwacch Bharat Mission\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cLet us strengthen the Swachh Bharat Mission. Joined the \u2018Swachhata Hi Seva Movement\u2019 at the Baba Sahib Ambedkar Secondary School in Paharganj, Delhi. This school\u2019s campus was bought by the venerable Dr. Ambedkar to ensure children from poor families get quality education,\u201d Modi tweeted.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWith enthusiastic young friends at the Baba Sahib Ambedkar Secondary School in Delhi. It is India\u2019s youth that have led from the front and ushered in a positive change when it comes to cleanliness,\u201d another tweet by Modi.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Prime Minister has also highlighted the salient features of Swachh Bharat Mission and acknowledged it as a revolution across India.<\/span><\/p>\n
