The search operation turned into an encounter as the militants fired upon the forces, who retaliated.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">J&amp;K Director General of Police (DGP) S P Vaid in a tweet said, \u201cOn a specific information about presence of terrorists in a hideout, an operation was launched in Batmaloo Srinagar leading to exchange of fire, one SOG boy martyred, one JKP &amp; 2 CRPF Jawans sustained injuries, operation continues.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The gunfight is still on and further details were awaited.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Meanwhile, mobile Internet service has been snapped in the city as a precautionary measure.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A security officer has been killed while three security personnel were injured in an encounter that broke out between militants and security forces in Batamaloo area of Jammu and Kashmir (J&amp;K) on Sunday morning.
