The strike was announced to oppose the proposed Motor Vehicle (MV) Amendment Bill, which was passed by the Lok Sabha and is now awaiting the Rajya Sabha\u2019s nod. The transporters also demanded the removal of hike in insurance premium and restricting the price hike in petroleum products.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Office travelers and students faced a distressing time because of the strike. The transportation of goods and other essential commodities would also get affected.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Kerala commuters faced trouble in commuting <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1421812285\"><span class=\"aQJ\">on Tuesday<\/span><\/span> morning as Vehicles, including private buses, auto rickshaws, taxis, freight vehicles and most of the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) buses are on two-day strike.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Due to Nationwide strike, Haryana Roadways State Transport would be witnessing a one-day strike and in Bhubaneswar too, buses and heavy vehicles will stay off the roads.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The nation-wide strike called by All India Road Transport Organisation has been supported by various organizations like AITUC, CITU, INTUC, among others.
