The rape case was filed against him by a woman constable of the Punjab Police Vigilance Department in 2017.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Minister Langah was present in the court when the judgment was pronounced.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">&#8220;What Congress government did was wrong. They made a false case against me to win the elections. The court provided me with justice,&#8221; SAD minister Langah said after the acquittal.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Langah was booked in Gurdaspur following a complaint of a woman constable of the Punjab Police.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">&#8220;The judgment was pronounced by additional court judge Prem Kumar in which he was held guilty, Karan Singh (Langah&#8217;s lawyer) said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The former SAD minister had been escaping custody by remaining underground.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Former Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) Minister Sucha Singh Langah, who was facing rape charges, was acquitted in the case by a local court in Punjab\u2019s Gurdaspur town on July 30.
