The sub-divisional magistrate of Delhi’s Preet Vihar area said two separate inquiries have been initiated to probe the death of three sisters in East Delhi.<\/span><\/div>\n

\u201cThe Delhi government has ordered a magisterial probe into the matter,\u201d Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said in a tweet.<\/span><\/p>\n

Preet Vihar SDM Arun Gupta reportedly said, “We are doing a separate i<\/span>nquiry on the incident apart from the police. Reports of the second post-mortem are yet to come. Last rites have been performed.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Initial post-mortem report indicated that the three girls aged eight, four and two years, died due to \u2018malnourishment\/starvation and its complications\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

The police,\u00a0<\/span>however, said that a second autopsy report will establish the cause of death and said that no traces of food were found in the stomach of the girls.<\/span><\/p>\n

Police said that a forensic team inspected the place of their residence and found some medicine bottles and pills for treating loose motion.<\/span><\/p>\n

Initially, the death of three sisters seemed to be a case of natural death but following the recovery of medicine bottles and pills, prompted the police to look into poisoning angle.<\/span><\/p>\n

The girls who were brought to a hospital by their mother were declared dead on arrival.<\/span><\/p>\n
