I congratulate BSNL management for internet telephony, which will enable consumers to make call without SIM,&#8221; Telecom Minister Manoj Sinha said after inaugurating the service.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Using this service, BSNL customers will be able to make calls on any network in the country even by using BSNL, wi-fi or internet from any other service provider.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Companies, who hold valid telecom licence, can provide app-based calling service even by using wi-fi connection, permitted by Telecom Commission, highest-decision making body of the Department of Telecom.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The service provider will be required to comply with all the interception and monitoring related requirements and calls will be charged by telecom operators and all rules related to normal calls will be applicable on them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The service registration process will start in a week and the services will be activated from July 25 onwards.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>State-run telecom firm Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) on Wednesday launched its first internet telephony service in the country.
