Two terrorists have been reported to be killed while 2 soldiers were injured including an officer in the ongoing encounter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The encounter began when joint forces of police, Army and CRPF started a cordon and search operation at Kundalan village of Shopian district.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">\u201cAs army began the search operation at around 4.15 am, militants who were hiding opened fire on the security forces injuring the two Army men. The fire was retaliated and there was a fierce gunfight that is still in progress,\u201d\u00a0police said. The injured soldiers have been shifted to an Army Hospital in Srinagar for treatment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Latest reports suggested that over 5-6 terrorists are holed-up in a house in Kundalan area.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The operation to evacuate the civilians from the nearby houses is also underway.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in south Kashmir\u2019s Shopian district on Tuesday morning.
