Our people find hard to wade through their cycle in knee-deep water,&#8221; Mumbai Dabbawalas Association&#8217;s spokesperson Subhash Talekar said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">No holiday has been declared by Maharashtra government but schools and colleges were shut on Monday as a precautionary measure. However Mumbai University has reschedule the examinations for students who could not appear on Monday<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">According to The Indian Meteorological Department it is the highest rainfall of the season in the last 24 hours bringing the financial capital virtually to standstill affecting the city&#8217;s lifelines &#8211; the train services &#8211; and road traffic.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">\u201cSince last night, over 200 mm rainfall has been recorded which led to water logging on Railway tracks and considering the passengers safety, train services have been stopped till the water level on the track recedes\u201d a senior Railway official said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">In the last 20 days the city has received 54 per cent of its average monsoon season rainfall, the city&#8217;s civic body noted.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mumbaikars continue to face a difficult time after non-stop heavy rainfall brought various services to a halt.\u00a0\u00a0 Dabbawalas have suspended their services on Tuesday. \u201cWe did not collect the tiffins today, because of the water-logging across the city.
