The Home Ministry has issued a warning to all the states and has put out rules in which no one can come too close to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, not even his ministers and officers, in wake of inputs of an “all-time high” threat to PM Modi.<\/span><\/p>\n

“PM Modi is the most valuable target in the run-up to the 2019 general elections,” the National Security Council has told various agencies who are tasked with PM’s security and safety.<\/span><\/p>\n

“The threat always has been there but after this Naxal threat we have made each agency aware of the new threats to the PM,” a senior officer reportedly said.<\/span><\/p>\n

Following the developments, Home Minister Rajnath Singh held a meeting with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Union Home Secretary Rajiv Gauba and Intelligence Bureau Director Rajiv Jain to review the prime minister’s security.<\/span><\/p>\n

New Security Guidelines:<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Even ministers and officers are likely to be screened by Special Protection Group (SPG) before meeting PM.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sources revealed that PM Modi has been advised to cut down his road shows.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sources revealed number of tactical team commandos travelling with the PM will be increased.<\/span><\/p>\n

Home Ministry believes that public contact needs to be reduced.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sources revealed PM needs to be more cautious while travelling to Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, West Bengal and Punjab.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sources said that security agencies are specially monitoring the Kerala-based Popular Front of India.<\/span><\/p>\n
