The tragic crash happened over a village in Kutch, soon after the take-off from the Jamnagar air base, the pilot, Air Commodore Sanjai Chauhan VM sustained fatal injuries. The aircraft reportedly collided with the cattle grazing in a field after the crash, killing them.<br \/>\nThe fighter aircraft was on a routine sortie stated by a defence spokesperson. The plane&#8217;s debris was strewn far and wide on the outskirts of the village, said locals.<br \/>\nFew months ago in another incident, an IAF helicopter crashed in Assam&#8217;s Majuli island, killing two pilots &#8212; Wing Commander J James and Wing Commander D Vats.<br \/>\nA court of inquiry has been ordered by the IAF headquarters to investigate the cause of the crash.<br \/>\nThe aircraft is ageing since its induction into the Indian Air Force four decades ago in 1979.
