On February 24 2018, Sridevi passed away after slipping inside her bathtub in her hotel room in Dubai, where she went to attend Mohit Marwah\u2019s wedding along with her family.<br \/>\n&#8220;We can&#8217;t interfere with the probe,&#8221; Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra told the petitioner.<br \/>\nPetitioner Sunil Singh, a filmmaker, had approached the Supreme Court after his petition was rejected by the Delhi High Court.<br \/>\nAccording to the forensic report in Dubai, Sridevi had died in the bathtub after losing consciousness.<br \/>\nVikas Singh, lawyer for the petitioner, argued in court that Sridevi had a Rs. 240 crore insurance policy in her name in Oman and the money could be released only if she died in UAE.<br \/>\n&#8220;We had already dismissed two petitions on the same issue.\u00a0 We can&#8217;t interfere,&#8221; the Chief Justice repeated.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Supreme Court today rejected a request for an investigation into Late Bollywood actor Sridevi&#8217;s death.
