A 24- years-old patient on ventilator support was bitten by a rat near his eye in the ICU of BMC’s Rajawadi Hospital in Mumbai on Tuesday.
According to the hospital superintendent Dr. Vidya Thakur there is no damage to the eyesight of the patient. She said the ward is on the ground floor and some garbage was disposed of in the hospital premises despite being told not to do so.
We will take extra care to avoid such incidents, she said.
