Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday took a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the Covid-19 vaccination drive.
Taking to the microblogging site, Rahul in a tweet said, “23 lakh people in the world have already received Covid vaccinations. China, US, UK, Russia have started…India ka number kab ayegaa, Modi ji? (When will India’s turn come?).”
Rahul has been continuously attacking the centre over Covid-19 situation in the country. On December 19, Rahul had said, “1 Crore covid infections with almost 1.5 lakh deaths! The unplanned lockdown did not manage to ‘win the battle in 21 days’ as the PM claimed, but it surely destroyed millions of lives in the country.”
At present, India’s COVID-19 tally stands at 1,00,99,066 while the death toll rose to 1,46,444. Of the total cases, 96,63,382 have been cured/discharged. There are 2,89,240 active cases of COVID-19 in India.
The recovery rate among coronavirus patients stands at 95.69%.
