Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi and party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Wednesday met former Finance Minister P Chidambaram at Delhi’s Tihar jail.
Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi met Chidambaram at around 9 am.
Visit of Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi came almost a month after Congress interim chief Sonia Gandhi and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh met Chidambaram in the jail.
Chidambaram was first arrested on August 21 by CBI and was granted bail by the Apex Court on October 22
Later, he was arrested by the ED in the money-laundering case and is in judicial custody.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has filed a criminal case under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) to probe alleged irregularities in the grant of Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) approval to the INX Media group.
