New Delhi, June 4 – Launching a scathing attack against Congress MP and Leader of the Opposition (LoP) in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, senior BJP leader Sudhanshu Trivedi today accused him of insulting the Indian Armed Forces and making “objectionable and cheap” remarks on Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“Rahul Gandhi has once again proved his inability and lack of maturity to handle a post like the LoP. He has shown lack of wisdom and low standards. His remarks displayed complete lack of political wisdom, ” Trivedi said.
Slamming Gandhi on his “surrender” remark, the BJP MP also went on to list what he termed a series of “surrenders” by Congress governments over the years.
“….India’s independence is filled with the shameful acts of surrender by your party, your government, and your family,” Trivedi said, lashing out at Gandhi.
Taking a jibe at the PM, Gandhi on Tuesday claimed that he had “surrendered” following a phone call from US President Donald Trump during Operation Sindoor.
“I now know the BJP and RSS people very well. Just put a little pressure on them, give them a slight push, they run away in fear. Trump gave just a signal, picked up the phone and said, ‘Modi ji, what are you doing? Narendra, surrender.’ Saying ‘Yes, sir’, Narendra Modi obeyed Trump’s signal,” Gandhi was quoted as saying.
He was speaking at a Congress event in Bhopal
“Remember a time when there was no phone call – when the Seventh Fleet came during the 1971 war,” he also said.
