Actor turned politician and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), candidate Sunny Deol offered prayers at Gurdwara Dera Baba Nanak in Punjab’s Gurdaspur on Thursday.
He is BJP’s Lok Sabha candidate from Gurdaspur parliamentary constituency, pitted against sitting Congress chief Sunil Jakhar, Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP)s Peter Masih and PDA’s Lal Chand.
The 62-year-old filed his nomination from Gurdaspur on Monday.
Punjab is voting on May 19 in the last phase and counting will be held on May 23.
