With the polling for assembly elections in Rajasthan and Telangana is underway, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday appealed to the people of both the states to participate in the Assembly polls.

Prime Minister Modi took to Twitter and urged voters to participate with full enthusiasm and in huge numbers.

“Today is the day of polling in Rajasthan. I urge all voters in the state to take part in the biggest festival of democracy with full enthusiasm and cast vote in large numbers,” Modi tweeted.

“Today is election day and I request all brothers and sisters in Telangana to come in huge number to cast their valuable votes, especially I request youngsters to use their vote to make democracy more enriching,” The Prime Minister tweeted.

BJP President Amit Shah also took to his twitter account and tweeted,

“I appeal to my sisters and brothers of Telangana to come out and vote in large numbers for a appeasement free and development oriented government. I specially urge my young friends to participate in this biggest festival of democracy without fail,” Amit Shah tweeted.

“Development, progress and prosperity are the people’s right of the land of warriors which is only possible and only with the buzzwords of “fair-right development”.  I appeal to the people of Rajasthan to vote a greater number to maintain the momentum that the State is moving ahead of development. Shah tweeted.

Polling for the 199 seats out of 200 seats in Rajasthan and 119-member Telangana Assembly is underway on Friday.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which has been in power in Rajasthan since 2013, is fighting anti-incumbency to retain power.

Votes will be counted on December 11.
