On the occasion of Vijayadashmi President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the celebrations at historic Luv Kush Ramlila, Lal Qila Maidan in New Delhi on Friday.
Kovind and Modi watched Ramlila and fired an arrow to burn effigies of Ravan, Meghnad and Kumbhakaran.
President Kovind congratulated the people of the country on the occasion of Vijaydashmi that marks the victory of good over evil.
Vijayadashmi or Dussehra is celebrated across the country on the tenth day of Navratri festival with great enthusiasm. The day marks the victory of Lord Ram over demon king Ravana.
