Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday said that the government has a plan in place in case the number spikes in the national capital.
“We had set up a team of 5 doctors to work out a plan so we are prepared in case the number of coronavirus cases rises rapidly,” Kejriwal said.
“325 schools will be used to provide free food to the homeless and needy people. We were feeding approx 20,000 people on daily basis, from tomorrow we will be feeding more than 4 lakh people,” Kejriwal said.
“Delhi Govt is prepared to deal with 100 new cases of corona every day. Our team is preparing to deal with 500 to 1000 new cases every day if situation escalates. 100 hospitals being readied with Ambulance, Ventilators & medical staff,” the chief minister said.
Kejriwal further said, “I have also asked all MLAs to work with their local communities to ensure no one in their constituency goes hungry. This is in addition to the relief effort being undertaken by Delhi govt. Just like we cannot let anyone die of Coronavirus, we cannot let hunger take any lives.”
“I want to assure the CMs of all other states, we are taking care of everyone living in Delhi. We will try to extend all possible help to the migrants living in the national Capital,” he added.
