Prashant Kishor to Contest Bihar Assembly Polls from Bankipur Seat

Patna: Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor has announced that he will contest the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections from the Bankipur Assembly constituency in Patna, marking his formal entry into electoral politics.

Speaking after the party declared his candidature, Kishor thanked the Jan Suraaj leadership and supporters for their confidence in him. He said, “I thank the party very much. The people of Bihar and Jan Suraaj are my life.”

The announcement was made by the Jan Suraaj Party as it gears up for the Assembly elections later this year. Bankipur, one of Patna’s key urban constituencies, is expected to witness a high-profile contest with Kishor now entering the fray.

Prashant Kishor, widely known for his role as a political strategist before launching the Jan Suraaj movement, has repeatedly said his focus is on bringing political change in Bihar through grassroots engagement. His decision to contest from Bankipur is being seen as a significant move in the state’s evolving political landscape.
