Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday arrived in Chennai for the 2nd Informal Summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
He was received by Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and Governor Banwarilal Purohit.
“Landed in Chennai. I am happy to be in the great land of Tamil Nadu, known for its wonderful culture and hospitality,” PM Modi said.
“It is gladdening that Tamil Nadu will host President Xi Jinping. May this Informal Summit further strengthen ties between India and China,” Modi added.
Chinese President Xi Jinping and PM Modi will begin their second informal meeting in Mamallapuram.
