New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Haryana, Chandigarh and Punjab on July 17, where he is scheduled to inaugurate, dedicate and lay the foundation stone for development projects worth around ₹26,800 crore. The visit will focus on infrastructure, healthcare, railways and green transportation.
In Jind, Haryana, the Prime Minister will dedicate and lay the foundation stone for projects worth nearly ₹14,700 crore. He is also set to flag off India’s first hydrogen-powered train between Jind and Sonipat. The hydrogen fuel-cell train is expected to be among the world’s longest and most powerful hydrogen trains, producing zero carbon emissions, with water vapour as its only by-product.
During the Haryana visit, PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone of the Sikh Museum in Kurukshetra, which is dedicated to preserving the legacy of the Sikh Gurus and Sikh heritage.
In Chandigarh, the Prime Minister will unveil development projects worth over ₹6,600 crore, covering healthcare, education and road infrastructure. He will inaugurate the Advanced Mother and Child Centre and the Advanced Neurosciences Centre at PGIMER.
In Punjab, PM Modi will dedicate the fully access-controlled Delhi–Amritsar–Katra Expressway (Packages 1 to 6) to the nation. He will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of rail and road infrastructure projects worth over ₹5,470 crore in Jalandhar. Additionally, the Prime Minister will inaugurate 75 redeveloped Amrit Bharat railway stations across 20 states, including several stations in Punjab.
Separately, sources in the ruling alliance said the NDA Parliamentary Party meeting has been scheduled for July 21 in New Delhi. Prime Minister Modi is expected to address NDA Members of Parliament and discuss key legislative priorities ahead of the upcoming Parliament session.
