Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Tuesday participate in the 100th Birth Anniversary celebrations of ‘Jatir Pita’ Bangabandhu, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, in Bangladesh via video message, the statement said.
Due to COVID-19, the events planned for March 17 in Bangladesh will be without any public gatherings, it said.
Earlier this month, the ministry of external affairs had announced PM Modi’s visit to Dhaka but later made public the deferment of the visit after coronavirus cases were discovered in Bangladesh.
