The Jharkhand government on Friday announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will roll out the Centre’s flagship Ayushman Bharat-National Health Protection Mission from here on September 23.
Jharkhand Chief Minister who is on a visit to China tweeted, “It is a matter of pride for us that world’s biggest health scheme Ayushman Bharat will start from Jharkhand on September 23 by venerable Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The people of India along with 3.25 crore people of Jharkhand are eagerly awaiting for this historic moment.”
As per the health secretary of the state, “It would be a proud moment for the people of Jharkhand, as an ambitious scheme like Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Abhiyan- would be launched from the state.”
“The department was all ready to roll out the scheme successfully, under which 85% of the state’s population would be provided up to Rs 5 lakh free cashless medical insurance cover,” health minister added.
Moreover, PM Modi will lay foundation stone for medical colleges at Koderma and Chaibasa, restoration and renovation work at Birsa Munda Jail and conservation work at Birsa Munda Museum.
