Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday announced that he will address the nation at 8 pm on the coronavirus outbreak which has infected 492 people in India.
“Will address the nation at 8 PM today, 24th March 2020, on vital aspects relating to the menace of COVID-19,” PM Modi tweeted.
This will be PM Modi’s second address to the nation in less than a week over the coronavirus outbreak
On March 19, Prime Minister Modi in his address to the nation urged people to maintain a ‘Janta Curfew’ on March 22 from 7 am to 9 pm.
PM Modi yesterday lamented that people are not taking the lockdown in the country seriously.
He had appealed to the people to save their family members and themselves by strictly adhering to the directions being given by the State and Central Governments.
Thirty states and Union Territories declared a complete lockdown to contain the spread of coronavirus.
