Balotra, Rajasthan, July 4. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday dedicated, inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development projects worth around ₹1.06 lakh crore in Rajasthan, describing the initiatives as a major boost to the state’s infrastructure, connectivity and energy sectors.
Addressing a public gathering in Balotra, the Prime Minister said the projects would strengthen infrastructure, accelerate economic growth and improve the ease of living for people across the state. He also dedicated the Rajasthan Refinery to the nation, calling it a major step towards India’s energy security and self-reliance that would generate employment opportunities for thousands of people.
Highlighting India’s response to the recent global energy crisis, Modi said the country overcame the challenge through timely decisions, balanced use of resources and effective diplomacy. He stated that despite disruptions in global fuel supplies, India ensured uninterrupted availability of LPG and fuel while protecting consumers from steep price hikes.
The Prime Minister also announced that the governments of Rajasthan and Haryana have finalised an agreement to bring water to the Shekhawati region through an underground pipeline from the Hathnikund Barrage. The project is expected to benefit residents of Sikar, Churu, Jhunjhunu and nearby areas.
During his speech, Modi highlighted several other key initiatives, including the inauguration of the new airport terminal in Jodhpur, expansion of the Jaipur Metro, promotion of renewable energy projects and the distribution of appointment letters to around 54,000 government job recruits in Rajasthan. He said these initiatives would create employment, improve connectivity and support the state’s long-term development.
The Prime Minister thanked the people of Rajasthan for their support and said the government’s focus remains on building modern infrastructure while ensuring sustainable growth and improving the quality of life for citizens.
