
New Delhi, June 28. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said that India continues to achieve milestones that fill every citizen with pride, highlighting the country’s progress in defence, innovation, self-reliance and wellness during the 135th episode of his monthly radio programme, Mann Ki Baat.
Addressing the nation, PM Modi said that the achievements being recorded across sectors reflect the confidence and aspirations of a new India. He stressed that these accomplishments are the result of the collective efforts of 1.4 billion Indians and demonstrate the country’s growing capabilities on the global stage.
The Prime Minister highlighted India’s growing self-reliance in the defence sector, referring to the maiden flight of the Made-in-India C-295 aircraft and the induction of indigenous naval assets such as INS Dunagiri. He said these developments showcase India’s increasing strength in defence manufacturing and its commitment to becoming self-sufficient in strategic sectors.
PM Modi also spoke about the success of the International Day of Yoga, noting that millions of people across the world participated in Yoga Day celebrations this year. He said yoga has evolved into a global movement promoting health, wellness and harmony, transcending geographical boundaries.
The Prime Minister further praised local innovations and grassroots initiatives from different parts of the country. Referring to inspiring stories emerging from villages and small towns, he said such efforts are contributing significantly to India’s development journey and strengthening the spirit of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
Concluding his address, PM Modi urged citizens to continue contributing towards nation-building and reaffirmed that India’s future progress would be driven by innovation, self-reliance and public participation.
